First of all I’d like to thank fromchrissywithlove for nominating me. It was hard for me to find three people to pass this on to but I just kind of chose out of my readership and the blogs I follow.
Sorry if you are unprepared for this, but honestly that is sometimes when we get our best work. So, without further ado here is my first quote and poem response.
No one forgets the truth; they just get better at lying.
—Revolutionary Road Richard Yates
Lie to me
Tell me a fib
Say anything to make our future seem less glib
Tell me a story
Make it seem real
Even though I know how you really feel
The truth cuts like a knife
We can’t be friends
The road we went down has too many bends
I hold on to the good times
The ones in my head
The reasons I just can’t get out of bed
I’ll let you know. I’m still trying to decide on a theme for the first issue. After I pick that I’ll stop by your blog and pick out which one fits the theme the best.
This is so good! I’m glad that you accepted the challenge and have come up with this beautiful piece to share!!
It was hard to find the perfect quote, but once I did the writing came easily
It is!! There are so many that are inspiring but it’s hard to find the one that fits you best and inspires poetry. But once you do, you create amazing works 🙂
How would you feel about submitting work to my online magazine?
I would love that!! So much!! I’d be honored!
Oh, I’m so glad you said that. I’ve read some of your stuff and I would love to publish it in my magazine.
That would be amazing!! Is there any in particular you like?

This link should let you see what I have so far, which isn’t a lot, I’ve been super busy with work and haven’t had a chance to upload a lot to the magazine. Let me know if the link works.
