So you guys know in my heart I love Yona. She’s so sweet and fierce. She still has a lot to learn but she’s putting in the work. So, why is this rating lower than Vol. 9?
This particular volume focused less on Yona and her dragon warriors and more on Kang Tae-Jun. If you are familiar with the manga series you know of him. If you are not familiar; he’s the whiny second son of the Fire tribe chief. That’s also why I don’t particularly like him.
In the past he wanted to be with Yona so he could secure the throne for his father, but he had no real dreams of his own. When he thought he had murdered Yona he became an inconsolable mess.
Since learning the truth he’s been trying to get with her🙄. He sees what she’s doing as foolhardy and doesn’t take her serious at first. He grows in this volume and starts doing things for the people of his nation, but for all the wrong reasons.
It wasn’t a bad installment but it just wasn’t what I wanted to read.
